The late Dr. Leonard Simpson had always been a supporter of the Trust and its objectives. In fact the Press Conference to announce the formation of the Trust was held in the Simpson Service Club on 4th. December 1962.
The first time the Annual Awards were presented at Simpson’s Service Club was on 15th. December 1971. The Annual Awards continued to be held at Simpson’s and sponsored by them up to and including 1998. When Simpson’s closed the Annual Awards Ceremony moved to Queen’s Club, a venue with a considerable sporting tradition. For the last two years the Awards have been held at The Army and Navy Club. The Trust has been very appreciative that DAKS Simpson has continued to sponsor the Annual Awards – now for 37 consecutive years.
